Is their some truth in using dark green instead of black when tattooing people with dark pigment skin for a better result?

I have not heard this, Black is darker than green typically…
The pigment is laid below the skin.
The skin has melanin which gives it its color…
the more dense the skin’s pigment is – the more difficult it will be to see the tattoo ink through the skin when it heals.
Best practice is to use darkest possible if that is desired effect you wish to have.
