Hey gang. I am Evan from Spokane WA. I have a long line of artists and sign painters in my family. Unfortunately, I was the only lefty and would drag my hand across all my art, signs, etc. Became a Chef after a few years in the food industry. I am now 35, and the passion is gone. I love tattoo’s, always wanted to learn, but never had the time, or new anyone. I have recently been watching and helping my Gf’s cousin, who just moved here, and has been doing it for 12 years. Anyway, i got bit by the tattoo bug, and think this is exactly what I want to do from here out! I know realistically, it takes a ton of time, repetition, practice, etc etc.
Anyone have any advice for what steps I should take?

Best of Luck – stick with it. And check out the book Basic Fundamentals of Modern Tattoo – it is like a guide to follow that will hel you get your foot in the door to start your apprenticeship.
