Just Wondering

Hey guys and gals, I have probably a stupid question! I am very new and i only use practice skins, and on the practice skins i mix some inks together cause i am limited to what colors i have at the moment, it looks good on the practice skins. But my question is, for instance say i mix blue and white together to make a light blue or red and blue for purple and so on. If it is good pigment ink will that look as well in skin? I was just wondering cause i see so many inks i would like to invest in and get, but i also would like to mix my own. I am only using “practice skins” and i really want to get a good grasp on my colors and how they work. I thank you for any and all advise.
