thats a great tutorial, however if you can drAW like that in photoshop, you could draw that piece with markers on skin in about 5 minutes. so theres no point in designing it, and cutting a stencil… save yourself an hour…

    • #16095

oh, if you were tattooing that piece, the general consenses of the procedure is to work from dark to light colors…

Doesnt have so many tat style koi fish, some being faught by warriors and whatnot, but this torrent is an amazing source for inspiration if you are into japanese styled art. Dont really think you have to worry about copyrights and all with it… Lots of sweet clouds and finger waves as well as a bunch of very old caricatures and cartoonish stuff to draw from. Really amazing collection.

Wish I could help out here, but I had to teach myself how. For dragons i always draw the head first, habit I suppose. Then I draw the direction and shape of the body based on the direction of the head. Prolly doesnt make sense….lol

The Koi is the symbol of strength and will, the will to go against odds to reach the destiny. And the Dragon is the power and ferocity. The mystery and Aura. :D

I was able too find some images here http://meggyb.deviantart.com/art/Frank-Dragon-Koi-Tattoo-93921286
