Ok so ive been looking online to see if a fax machine works just fine for making stencils. I would like to confirm this because these fax machines run about 20$-30$. And does anybody know what model or models i can use ?? :?:

I’m not sure if a fax would work.
I found a dot matrix printer, and it works great.

It will work as long as it is thermal, thermal is the key here.

you can use a dot matrix printer if you use hectograph paper
if you use spirit master themal paper you need a thermal fax copier or a thermal office fax machine
mine is a brother mfc 1970MC but its really old
you can find cheap ones on craigslist or kijiji or ebay

Yep :) as long as you’re using standard Spirit Master paper like most people tend to do

I don’t remember the brand, I could check if you like.
I was like $35 on ebay. It’s really impressive in the
amount of detail that it reproduces.

again if you use a dot matrix printer you have to make sure you get hectograph paper as it uses pressure rather than heat to transfer teh carbon

I made a video on how to use a thermal office fax machine to make a stencil.
