My work on this is the hibiscus flowers and petals. The ones on my bicep and by the S were done with a coil machine, the ones mid-forearm were done about a year later with a rotary machine (first time using it on myself, and having to get wifey and mother in law to stretch the skin for me)

Background design (to be done by another artist for consistency and ease)

need better photos but looks interesting to me. Why didn’t you start with pigskin then find friends willing to let you practice on them? My Mentor was very against me doing art on myself for a couple of reasons. I used pigskin for 1 year before laying ink on my cousin with the mentor watching. I’m excited to see more photos.

As much as I love the appeal of a silly hand done tattoo, when it comes to getting together with your bros in their basement with no sterilization it’s so careless and dangerous it makes me insane..

I did most of my sleeve on my right arm, so it isn’t impossible! But i will tell you that i wished that i had have waited for someone else that could have gotten a better stretch and who could have gotten a better look at it. It is very hard to see what you are really doing unless you take a camera and take pics as you go! Stick to above the knees for the first year, thats my advise..
