you should have waited before tattooing real skin. these tattoos aren’t horrible, but lack life. there is no depth in any of them. they are very flat….you need to practice basics first.

Thanks for the comment on my work Troub1edsou1z. Well can you give a few tips to bring them to life since they are lacking life like you say. I am open to learn the guy that was teaching me left town and i can not get a hold of him to help me out. He worked in a shop for a number of years and ran one as well. So feel free to tell me some tips that i need to learn. I have tried to get into a shop and work my way up but they don’t want to let any new be in there shops around here.

you need to show shadows and shaded areas. you have to provide depth, or a 3d type of perspective……

i agree. these tattoos also look a bit complicated for your current skill level, i think you should back up and do simpler tattoos that help you focus on your basic lining technique and coloring/shading. things like Kanji, small old school tattoos, ect. choose your subject matter wisely and not only will you get the needed practice, but the canvas will be left with something they are proud of.

thanks for the tips I have a small hart with a banner to do next week I will try to post a picture of it when i am done to show you all. I will take any advice you all give me and the tips as well thanks again to all that help me out.
