What sort of materials are good for a tattoo machine frame?
I know iron as I have my Micky Sharpz that are iron
would stainless steel be horrible for a tattoo machine frame? -

I researched this quite a bit before buying my machine as I wanted something cheap but of good quality. Iron is excellent and so is steel. Stay away from lighter type metals like zinc and aluminum. They heat up way faster than the heavier metals do.

the reason why I ask is theres a site my buddy uses and if you give them a 3-D image they can cut it for you out of Stainless steel n stuff
so i was thinking of designing my own frame, and getting them to cut it for me :P -

Cool, I’d like to check it out. I’m pretty with the way my frame looks though. And it’s steel btw

Please do, I have been looking forever for a nice frame that suits my name (Spider) and haven’t found any but simple cheap web designs that suck. Would be cool if I could design my own frame..

lighter metals would be fine but you need a yolk. they only heat up if your running to high of a duty cycle on your coils
