Thanks! I think that skull one would look great but it requires some skill to make smoke. I need to work on minimalist design, or some single color stuff. I started doing graphic design in High School and took 2 years at a trade school for it

I actually wanted to get into video game design when I was younger, and this was a step towards that. I almost did culinary instead, believe it or not, but I had a friend who went into graphic design and that was my push.
I’m honestly starting to feel like everything in my entire life has been leading me towards becoming a tattoo artist. Like destiny, key points are coming together stuff that never made sense to me before. Like 3 years ago I found this huge coffee table with a glass top, whenever I moved I threw it out but kept the glass panels. Had no idea what I was going to do with them until now. I’m going to make a light box, they’re the perfect size for it.
Anyways, would you guys think I could use these in my portfolio or would I need more of the basic stuff, like sketches and single color, traditional styles?

I know how you feel on the whole destiny thing. I honestly never thought of going in this direction. Never knew why on earth I got an education in business and taxation of companies (never thought I would use it) Now I know exactly what I was meant to use it for. Starting a decent and honest business, were I didn’t need the advice from expensive accountancies. And then there’s my art, there aren’t that many who wants a portrait on paper. But on skin…. That’s just insane. And I know were I will be heading. ;)
But back to your questions on the graphics portfolio. Personally I think it looks good, but you have to mind that you don’t use a computer to make the tattoos, you use your hands. Its a craftwork. Now not saying that digital art isn’t. I have seen a couple of brilliant computer artists, and when it came to paper, they were lost.
If I were you (and I’m not) I would have categories them in your portfolio. Starting with sketches, drawings, paintings and so on. And on that last segment, I would place my digital art.
You can have them, imo, but don’t let them rule your portfolio. Perhaps 10 percent or so, on digital art. -
