Here is my first sketch of five showing shadow and light.
Please note: This felt more like a lesson on perspective, and after I took a photo of it I saw my critical mistake. (Can you spot it?)
I’ll be going back to fix it for my own peace of mind but I think it passes for the criteria. Also, there are more than one sources of light (more like a huge source of light – 3 windows -) and I didn’t realize there were so many until I got into the shading up close…. looked easy until I started.
It is my kids’ chair. I do not have a photo to present to you to compare because the light has changed and the kids too the chair away… I did this in the morning with my cup of coffee before I had to serve them breakfast.
Materials used: Schaedler pencils 2H, 4H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B.

Here is the corrected one. Its the same chair, I just fixed the mistake I had made on it. Did you see the difference?

Here are the eggs, one whole and one broken. And then while shading this I realized – these are brown eggs…. the “coloring” is a little different.

Shoot !! The hardest part is coming up with something !
Uh oh – I forgot to tell you. The materials used for the eggs are the exact same pencils used for the chair. In fact, those are ALWAYS the materials I use for my pencil drawings….

Ok so I chose something I thought would be fun, and showed shadow … took me a while… but this felt more like a line exercise because of the amount of detail that was involved. I know its not perfect (the actual Bierstein isn’t symmetrical) but I will probably keep it as is… and if I feel like it, go back.
hope link works.

Here is the last one for this lesson. After the last one was so complex, I decided to do something more simple.
