7.1 Stencil Materials Used
The stencil application process can cause a lot of new tattoo
artists some grief, but once you get the hang of it then it will
become a breeze. The actual stencil process begins when the
design is selected and finalized (for the most part). The stencil
process ends when the artist throws the stencil away, this can
often be at the end of the tattoo session. Why does the process
not end once the artist is satisfied with the placement and
design itself? The reason that this text will refer to the process
as being over once the stencil is in the biohazard container is
because you will almost always need to reference the stencil
during your actual tattoo session. It is good habit to keep the
stencil in your warm zone during the initial outline phase of a
typical tattoo session.
