The tools that are directly used in the tattoo process are typically
the primary focus of sanitation. It is important to also remember
that the surfaces around the work area are just as prone to bodily
fluid splatter and contamination as the actual tattoo machine
apparatus. The counters, floors, furniture and even your tattoo
machine can and will be contaminated with bodily fluids. These
areas, once contaminated, must be sterilized to the best of your
ability before cross contamination occurs with the next client.
