Some artists will purchase contact points with a design on the
top. You may have seen this design as a dice, skull, or almost
anything that is imaginable. Do not be fooled by the clever
novelty of the contact point cap design. This item really has no
bearing on the actual efficiency of the contact point, and can
cause your contact point to cost twice as much. It is simply an
aesthetic device. Until you have reached a fairly decent level
of tattoo skill, it is probably best to avoid these novelties. Stick
with the humble machine styles, and you will earn your peer’s
respect.
