Tattoo artists don’t like to work, and breaking any bad habits you have along with reteaching you everything is a lot of work
your best bet is to make a really solid art portfolio of really high quality drawings, and pictures of any other art related things you may have done including paintings
18-21 pages is the norm.
always put photocopies, or print offs of your original work in your portfolio. not your original work. th is way if your portfolio gets damaged or lost you can always make new copies
