While your specific state may not have the same standards, it is always good to see how things are expected to be done in different states/regions. I prefer to reference as many standards as I can find to ensure an extensive knowledge of policies & protocols.

That’s actually a great idea einvalentine: there should be a thread started in which the links to the pdf or file documents for each state and countries Health dept regs on tattooing are posted as they are different everywhere. No post means no regs.

No real reason just someone didn’t like dermals. It’s a county wide ban and no one has the time or energy to fight city hall on this one.

I don’t think it’s too much Spider. I’ve been trying to post as many as I can find (for example, Georgia’s post has one for Camden county and Northern GA). And I’ve found a few more for Florida that I need to post. The more specific, the better. If anyone finds anything for a state that I’ve already posted, feel free to pm me the link & I’ll update the post (that way it stays as organized as possible).

I feel that these are more of a starting point for the eager readers to get a general idea of just how important researching, knowing, & following health codes actually is. I think it’s fair to say that it should be up to them to check with their health departments to make sure that what they’ve read is up to date. Also, it always helps to get to know your city employees and get on their good side ;) . Health depts. can be downright jackasses if they don’t like you.
I’m not real big on piercing tbh. I mean I like them, and want more, but I wouldn’t do them. I think they have a higher risk for more extensive damage (in certain cases) if not done properly, and I’m not one to put myself in that kind of situation….. so basically I’m too much of a chicken shit :lol: -
