Your lines are very nice. What did you use?

For ink? Just regular kuro sumi. I love that shit. It’s the only black I use.

I actually meant needle size. Sorry. Can’t wait to see the finished tattoos.

I use a grey wash I made using Kuro Sumi Outlining ink for my shading, and either Alla Prima Black, or Intenze Zuper black for my outlines. I find the Kuro has a bit of a blue undertone so once healed it doesn’t stay black black.

I’ve never had that problem with kuro. And as far as needle size I work in a traditional shop so I always try to go for big bold lines if I can get away with it. I used a 7 for all three of those I believe.

Finally finished the tiger tonight. The shop was a little crazy today but we still had a really good sitting. Check it out and let me know what y’all think:http://i40.tinypic.com/n4b2tv.jpg

I like the use of brown. too many people use just straight orange. -

Nice, thanks man! Yeah I absolutely agree. It gives it more dimension I think.

Solid line work, based on the size of the tiger I think the lines are very good considering you used a 7. that sucker had to be super tight for the striping and in the face and the tail. You definitely grasp how to use the liner with all those tiny fur lines. I can’t spot a blowout. After seeing the color I have to ask if it’s picture quality or if you had a hard time getting close to some of those stripes? I say kudos on the use of the brown/orange/yellow fade.
I like the butterfly piece, linework is fairly solid. Scrollwork can be a mf’er. Well done. I might have gone a different way with the colors but we have to give the client what they want. The saturation is solid though.
That rose is a solid tattoo. I like the way you were able to cut in around the line work of the previous tattoo (Chinese food take-out box???)
