My machine works fine. and thats my problem. u see i live in a shared flat and getting always complains from my neighbors when i am practicing..
I have thought to construct a plastic case for the machine, hoping this will silence things a bit.
Will it affect my machine in any way?
Will it reduce the noise?
Many thanks.. -

Give it a shot. I would be a little worried about machine getting hot being closed in like that. Rotaries are pretty quit.

i would say get a rotary machine if it is such a problem.. Other than that i don’t know what else to tell ya , maybe yo can try to wrap a wash cloth around it like a machine bag and use it in short burst to keep from over heating!! Hope this helps cause you need to practice…

Thank you guys so much for your replies!
I have considered to buy a rotary machine, but first i will have to build up the skill to get into that step, i am not that experienced yet.
Also thank you for highlighting the heating issue.. Didn’t thought of that.I will try to get a case for my machine and provide feedback.
Thanks again. -

I haven’t tried it, but I read that if you put 2 layers of masking tape
on the bottom of the abar that it helps to quiet it down. Only use
2 layers or it will affect the maginetism. -
