      so i had recently gotten my charcoal and sketchpad and decided to jump rite into doing a marylin monroe portrait. any critiques would be helpful took me most of weekend cause i cant stay still for more then an hour at a time lol.

      I like it but think you got the eyes wrong. they look a touch to thin. Just my opinion though.

      it all looks disproportionate to me. Your shading isnt bad, but not good. work on getting the proportions right on the face, as well as some depth to the eyes.

      ill have to agree with JTD
      its a good effort though
      keep practicing, and make sure you do your best to make it look like the photo
      eyes are the MOST important feature :)

      yea i posted this almost a year ago lol, now that i look back on it looks horrible. it was done in charcoal but i now use oil paints to help with color choices and blending. might actually redo another monroe portrait in color this time.
