Oil Painting – "Kissed Mountain"

This is an oil on canvas done recently that was the second version of a painting I sold earlier this year. I got frustrated with this one and I started to look into other subject matters. This type of subject was what I used to paint on a regular basis, but I think the growing up and the having babies thing kinda changed me a little ;-)

Beautiful painting! And the best thing about oil paintings is that you can get frustrated with them, and always return to them later! If I may, what about it frustrates you?

The scene somehow inspires me to do a landscape :)

I got frustrated at the sky and the lake. I know that the coloring is off and I know I can fix it but at the time that I was working on it I had already burned myself out a bit (been working all day everyday for 4 days before this)…. so maybe I will go back …. maybe not.
