I will straighten out the center circle when its healed up. I did have a problem getting the green to go into the skin when using a 7 mag. I swapped out for a 7 round shader and changed his foot position and it worked 100 times better. Is it possible i was over stretching the skin and that caused the ink not to stick?

The link doesn’t work. Use a site like http://www.tinypic.com or http://www.photobucket.com. Also I’ve never heard of stretching too much. Some inks don’t go in as easy as others. It probably has more to do with how your machine is running and your technique though. If a mag won’t get the job done youre doing something wrong.

I agree with Jbeau. Since you said you switched to a 7RS and it went in, here are my 2 thoughts on possibilities:

      1) Your machine isn’t properly set up as a shader/color packer.
      2) Your angle is wrong… with liners and round shaders, your approach to the skin should be close to 90 degrees. With a mag however, your approach to the skin should be more at 45 degrees (think of a circular shoveling motion).

It’s probably a combination of both since the 7RS worked for you.

Some times tattoo which use to give the feel of sticky and non-sticky so it is important to check out whether the tattoo equipment is proper or not.
