Hello! I am starting my tattoo training later in life than most people. I have always enjoyed tattoos even though I didn’t have any until my early 40’s. I have been an artist since childhood. I used to prefer oil painting but lately I have done more portraits in graphite. Because of my portraits, my daughter asked me to design a special angel tattoo and I have had several people tell me they want a black and grey portrait once I am taking appointments.

There are several reasons I didn’t become a tattoo artist years ago. I live in a very rural area and there are no tattoo shops within a 100 mile radius (30 years ago it was a 250 mile). I had my daughter when I was 19 and being a single mom, I had to work to keep a roof over our heads. Life happened and in 2006 I was injured at work. I am permanently totally disabled due to 2 failed back surgeries. Now I have the time to learn and practice.
