I totally agree, I would never do anything I didn’t feel comfortable doing, and gangs do their own tattoos don’t they ?

I like your koi , your scorpion is very good though . how long have you been TATTOOING, I am self teaching too it’s a hard slog . I have bought two books and watched every you tube video there is . I did get some good stuff from some tattoo design CD’ s I got from the internet, eBay. They were only cheap, about 2pounds each . A book by a guy called Spalding was ok, this has taught me all about the machines and how to strip it down and make them run better. I have found out stuff just by reading anything to do with TATTOOING and being on here . It is cool being able to get your peers to see your work and comment. I so prefer to have my needle out enough to see it’ s much easier, and cleaner than riding the needle. I use my little finger as a guide to keep the needle from going in more than 1mm. How About you.

I made sure that I did not buy anything from China when I started out. I did buy a tattoo kit, with two machines , from a good tattoo supplier in the UK. The liner works fine, although I have stripped it down and put some better springs on. The shader though did not work well even after changing springs. So I bought a Micky Sharps “Iron” shader. Works great. I would like to buy another liner at the moment just to have a 10 wrap to do bigger lines. and to see how a more expensive machine does lines. I have now got the cheap shader to work by sanding off the paint which looked plastic , and putting it all back together. it’s very soft and good for shading now. Thanks for your comment, it made me look at the shader again and now it’s working.

Hi Ben , no practising on fruit, did buy some plastic skin tried it out once found it rubbish , so my husband said “sod it why don’t you just go for it “, so I did. So that Is actually my very first tattoo. Thank you for your comments . I have been TATTOOING now for 6 months, but not all the time maybe two or three a month.

Thank you, I’m sure you can , or will do. I must say though the smaller writing ‘ it’s in the blood ‘ came out a bit light and could do with going over again but I am proud of myself. Thanks for your comment. :D

I used 5 liner ,took me 2 hours to line the black and red. Then a 5 round shader and 7 mag . :D Thanks for liking , It makes so much difference when your peers say it’s a good tattoo.

I am self taught ,has been an up hill struggle to find out stuff, such as why your getting thin shifty lines . but if you have tried all the above then your machine needs tweaking as your needles are not going in enough. you have the needle at 1/16 but your machine isn’t pushing it out enough . look on you tube there are videos showing you how to set your needles and machine. this is only in my opinion and I’m no one, I have been TATTOOING for 6 months. didn’t start on fruit or fake skin just my husband.
The tattoo is of a friend’s calf , my own design. I did this tattoo 4 months into starting tattooing.
