Sorry! I am working on getting videos up for tattoo tutorials. I have literally hundreds of hours of footage I am trying to edit. SO I ADMIT to neglecting the forum. Also, google penalized us pretty bad for being offline for so long, but the site is getting major upgrades and will come back!

I don’t watch TV much, so I can’t really comment. I say – look around your home town. Plenty of artists tattooing near you that are just as good or better than the people on T.V. – and some of the judges say some retarded stuff on those shows (from the little I have seen on YouTube clips)

1) How much stress should there be with the rubber band in place holding the needle? Ive played around with different variations but would like a concrete answer. If its too tight the machine gets stuck. I want to find the right tension for this.

The configuration of the tattoo machines can vary by the artist. Some people like short stroke for shader, some like long stroke.
