how did you do that background? did you cut out your images and paste them onto paper with the background already on it?

if you want the gradients to be smoother, try wetting the paper first with water, then using whatever stain you want (weather it’s tea or coke, whatever).
when you pre-wet (moisten) the surface, your color will blend much smoother. -

agree, nice little pistol, but the text does not fit with a pistol.

there is no “1,2,3 easy steps” to tattoo.
this craft just takes time. lots of time. take it slow and stay smart- try not to kill anybody. good luck. -

background in diet coke? lol – wow that’s cool – i just do art with pencils and pens on paper – and of course skin…. – but that’s cool to be able to use so many different things – i had an idea that hasn’t taken off the ground yet – i want to do art on mirrors using the old inks i don’t use anymore – what gave u the idea to use diet coke? and does it have to be diet? lol i love it! :D 8-)
i got the idea from another member on the Ink Trails forum. if you use regular coke, there will be sugar dried into your paper (will atract ants).

i guess you could consider it a little bit old school. if you like this style, you should really check out “Classic Flash in 5 Bold Colors” by McCullouch.
i outline with different thicknesses of Micron ink pens, then i use paintbrushes and spit shade with india ink and water. after the india ink dries i color it with water colors, then do the background in diet coke and a few tints here and there with watercolor.

you drew that? i like it, maybe some blood on the blade when its showing in his mouth and underneath his head but who am i to tell you what to do lol. great job man :)
yes i drew/painted that. i’ve been really trying to simplify my drawings and make them “less detailed” and more readable in tattoo form, so thats why i left out the blood and other details.

i think your work looks pretty great for any 17 year old i have seen. it’s obvious that you have some patience, which is key. keep up the good work.

sorry, this one is not so crafty :(
on a possitive note: it’s not horrible and could be made a lot better with some work.i think i would have done this one with a 7RL, maybe even an 8RL, then use the 5RL for a few small details. it’s way too obvious that you sculpted a lot of the lines and they just dont look uniform. maybe if you did a second pass with an 8RL it would clean this up quite a bit and trun into a really nice tattoo.
focus on making your lining deliberate and doing one line in one pass. but i think you probably already realize this. cheers. -
