Newest piece, did it last night on a friend of mine. Hes a mechanic, so this suits him just perfectly.

Was done with 5RL and a 7Curved Mag.
Inks. Kuro Sumi Blackest. And for the shades I used A Thousand Virgins. (Not that great of a shade series imo)

again if you use a dot matrix printer you have to make sure you get hectograph paper as it uses pressure rather than heat to transfer teh carbon

Worst way is saran wrap. It is non-porous, so all the blood/ink/plasma stays on the tattoo, and goes into it creating a breeding ground for bacteria.

Its kindda hard to tell.

Is the border color suppose to be black??? If so, you really need an other brand of ink, since this looks more grey then black. Your lines are not too shabby, but still when doing lettering, a strait line is a must.

But all in all, not that bad actually, ;)

And never ever ever, copy something and tell a tattoo artist, its an original design. Chances are, they have seen it before ;)

you really don’t need to sketch from your head
there are few things I can sketch without a reference
you’ll always be able to have references just tweak them to your style
youll want to have 18-22 really good drawings
preferably tattoo designs, and try to keep similar designs together: all your traditional designs together, japanese together,…[Read more]

you can use a dot matrix printer if you use hectograph paper
if you use spirit master themal paper you need a thermal fax copier or a thermal office fax machine
mine is a brother mfc 1970MC but its really old
you can find cheap ones on craigslist or kijiji or ebay

Be careful when buying kits as they try to get your attention offering flashy, or many machines. You’re best to get a good quality kit–IE the 190$ Hildbrant one–or build one yourself.
