The binding posts are made out of copper. A lot of chinese machines do that I’m pretty sure. Easily changed.

Please do, if you got any secret hints and trick, by all means, let me know.
I have to go over the thing again. The guy, well, he never showed up for his finishing setting. And just heard rumours that he lost his, job, his wife split, and his dog just lost 7 puppies.
So I plan on giving him it for free. Cant have all bad things going on in life,…[Read more] -

Technically you can, but it wont be white in the end. It will be grey as you will see the black in through the white ink. There was actually an episode of LA Ink where a guy had a true sleeve: his arm was completely black. He then began to get white tattoos overtop.

So, I have been gone for a minute, getting back now. Had my plans destroyed by local assholes that made promises then didn’t keep them and I screwed up by not having a back up plan in place, regardless, wanted to throw this in real quick, it’s not just business and talent that runs a shop, it is experience as well. I found a guy that is self…[Read more]

All my mentor asked me is how much time I’ll be able to spend in the shop, and shit. Nothing really tattoo related.

Now thats a question that could have a lot of different answers.
BUT, I dont think its expected of you to know everything there is to know, on history and such.
On the tattoo jargon, all the technical things of machines, inks and so on, is not a place you should cover that much, since a mentor would like to teach theses things as he/she knows…[Read more] -

You could add a small amount of witch hazel to the bottles, and it will help to thin out the mixture. Then it’s just simply shaking it like crazy. I always have a sterile ball bearing in all my ink bottles. It helps to mix up the ink. There’s also some little toys you can buy that will do this…[Read more]

Yes it really is a complet mess of things.
The government wants to controll everything, rumour has it, that they want taxes on the inks bought and sold in Denmark. If this is so, you can ad another 30 % ontop of the already high pricing ink.If they get this through, I bet you all a million bucks, that they will leave the tattoo business to it…[Read more]

Nothing wrong with using references. Come up with an idea, and grab a bunch of references, and put the design together.

A lot of places around here go by the piece. I’m pretty sure El Toro is by the piece, PhilINK TATTOOz is 75$/hr, Uncle Brian’s Tattoos is 100$/hr, The Skin Within is by the piece I believe, Locey’s Kustom is SUPER expensive 400$/session. Not 100% sure what that means, but oh well. He’s probably one of the best black and grey ARTISTS in my…[Read more]

Hehe Danish guy here ;)
But yes my country is stuck in the 60s. There are no rules, no laws, no standards. Just retards wanting to make a quick buck, they hire help from other countries, such as Hungary, Polan and such. And you know why? They are cheap.
These artist are good, BUT if they were as good as these shop chains claims, then they wouldnt…[Read more] -

The biggest problem with adding background, and such is not all–or even some/most–clients are artists. They don’t see a tattoo the way we do. They see it as a badge of pride, or something that makes them cool. They don’t understand that–in this case–a parchment floating there on his back kind of looks odd. One can always suggest background,…[Read more]

Oh man, pricetagging this one?
And at prices in my country? For something like that, I would have charged around 250-300$
But my prices are half the standard in Denmark. Standard pricetag for a piece this sieze, around 550-600$ (And this you will have to pay, if you go to the standard shops.) Now these standard, well 2-4 years of experience.…[Read more]
