I have only seen three or so, in my entire life, doing completely freehanded stuff.
(And we are no talking about my brother who bought a kit, and just started to tattoo himself, no stencil, no sterilisation, no gloves, no experience, no nothing. I have never seen a star that much off, it looks like an axe)
I mean pieces of utmost art.

Sounds really wierd.

What I can think off… Doubble check the insulation washers, perhaps blow through the frame holes. There could be metal dust in them, making them get contact with the screw.
Also check the hole in the binding post, also there could be metal dust in there.

In my world, disposable tubes are the way to go.
Even though, in my country, the tattoo lauge bitch on about; never go to a tattooist who dosent use an autoclave.
Which is redicules, since there are alot more maintenens in using an autoclave. Plus you need to take tests of it every second week or so.
