I love Alla Prima
the white works like a charm
a small suggestion is to get some sterile bearings to put in the bottle. Alla Prima is kind of thick and the bearings help to mix the colour better -

9RS works well for smaller full colour areas
and a M1 or M2 or RM works well for larger areas of full colour
never use a liner needle for colouring :P
its like painting a wall with a toothbrush -

I am in no way knocking the tattoo. I’m not trying to be a dick, or otherwise rude, or anything. I have something you could practise your solid works with.
One big difference from drawing like you do, and to tattoo, is the way you do solid colour.
With paper and pen, you usually stroke back and forth with the pen, until its solid. If you do that with a machine, you end up destroying the skin completely.
One of the first practis method I…[Read more]

No jokes on feet.
Just you remember to take extra care of it. The foot is one of those limbs that are more or less constantly in motion. No socks or closed shoes in the heeling process ;)

Agree with Ram.
Try using the mag. It takes some practise to master, but when you know how to use them, they work like a charm.
One of the best ways to practise with mags, are using a banana. I dont know why, but if your rough with the mags on a banana, it kinda swells. If it does that, your doing it wrong and will turn real skin into hamburger…[Read more]

Small circles are usually more for solid colour rather than shading
i could have sworn i just commented in here i dont know what happened loltry using an M1 especially for something that size. youll get a nicer and smoother shade that way.
if you dont get your overlap almost perfect with an RS youll get that pencil like look to your shades. -

i remember doing my koi on my leg i was so low to the ground it was very uncomfortable. i did it at my buddy’s place on live stream, and the inside of my leg was brutal to get to. that was the only really painful part. the rest was pretty decent. im sure if i had a higher seat it would have been a much easier tattoo to pull off :3

They also have Inkstar and Vulsturd kits, but they are pretty cheap as far as machines, power supplies, and inks go.
