Yes – when you see keloid on someone that you caused… it sucks.
Becareful with tattooing dark skin people –
also – alot of darker skin people have light areas that are better for tattooing – usually areas not prone to sun.

You can ONLY sterilize tubes w/ Autoclave that has been tested.

Shell out the $1.50 for a disposable tube.
Seriously –
DO NOT use the methods you described to tattoo – using dirty gear.

If they scar easily –
then they will scar when you tattoo them?
unless the tattoo is darker than the scar?
But tattoos shouldn’t really scar – if done properly.

you might want to ask your mentor in the shop you are apprenticing –
I think you went too deep –
scar tissue will form
Dry heal it – and see how bad it really is.
tell client not to pick or itch –
but it is going to itch very bad…

Example of shading in the book –
and some video tutorials cover shading techniques…
Ask your mentor in the shop you are learning to tattoo at…

Tighten rubber band
bend needle
smaller tube
less voltage

Possible solutions – ask your mentor to watch you tattoo in the shop you are apprenticing at…
power supply may be the cause – but i doubt it.
