Y’know, I have absolutely no idea if it really works or not but you could try this stuff called “Dr. Numb” I’ve heard that its supposed to numb the skin so you can hardly feel anything when getting a tattoo. You posted in the right place, but I’ve noticed the main guys on here haven’t been posting much lately. The people who are learning aren’t allowed to critique until they’ve passed the lesson. So it’s just on the admin’s and mods schedule at the moment. Just gotta wait.

That makes sense. I do like it, and foot tattoos are tricky so you’ll want to make sure they keep real good care of this while its healing or it won’t matter how well you did the tattoo.

I agree that Mags cause less trauma and are faster but I’d say if your quality suffers from using them don’t use them. Do your best work on the clients, and your experimental work on practice skins, a melon, or even yourself. The skull and the rose look great. I haven’t used a mag yet, but all that comes down to personal preference. If you like the RL’s better just keep using them. For me its the difference between using something like a pen to draw with and a sharpie.

Thats the problem I’ve been having.

You need to make sure your machine is tuned properly, it could be as simple as bending the spring slightly back to get a better contact. Try and get your A-Bar roughly parallel with the coil, I don’t know if that will work for you but that slight adjustment made my machine hit much harder. Of course, it could…[Read more]

I’m not sure if the line is blown out a little bit, or if its just a little ink on a fresh tattoo.

Just in case, make sure to watch your angles so you don’t shoot ink sideways under the skin. Other than that I really like it!

My machine was running at 10v but it didn’t feel like it was giving me all of it. I did use a stencil and the lines I drew were fine, it was the multiple passes that make it look the way it does.
