Hi guy, another stupid question here for the masters.
I usually move my hand fast while lining a tattoo but seems to me that before arriving to the end of the line It gets short of ink. The line seems thiner at the end of it, but it looks clean and nicely steady. If I slow down my speed line aren’t that great. So, I read about…

Working on moving clients and stretchy skin all comes with experience. You will learn to maneuver around skin that is very stretchy.
I mostly see this kind of skin on more healthier size men and women. Especially in their inner arm and stomach area. What I suggest or what I do is I make sure the stretched skin I’m working on…

Thanks for sharing Kitchen.
I would suggest doing smaller tattoo’s and do them in a big way. I can tell your ambitious about art. Sometimes slower is better….and when is say “slower” I dont literally mean by speed….but by quality and control. Take a small piece and really analyze and focus on quality and clean line work and…

That is about what I got out of my reading too. Yesterday I took apart the shading machine and replaced the long .18g front spring with a shorter .20 spring. I was able to run it a bit faster but the hit stayed soft and I kept a short throw to smooth stuff out. I decided to rework the bird on my thigh because it came out very light…

I know it covers it in the book…but maybe I’m unclear.
My liner has a “notch” where the front binding screw goes. I actually run the front binding post about half-way between the left and right side of the hole. I also run a short “liner” spring…wouldn’t this be considered cutback?
To get a shader as a cutback would you just…

It probably took about an hour and a half…give or take. Finished the lily quickly but then she wanted to add swirls. Took us a while to come up with swirls she liked so we drew…erased…drew…erased. :)
Good practice for sure and another great area for me to work on more. Lining it my biggest challenge when the lines are over…

The lily looks fantastic, but the swirls and starts could definitely do with a little ‘tightening’… Looking good though, how long did it take to do?

@Kitchen-Yeah, I’m excited about it. Because the husband-to-be and I are gamers, we’re doing a Kingdom Hearts themed wedding. I actually rested my tattooing hand so I could use it to help stretch. Her back had a lot of give in some spots so it was a three point stretch.
