sure thing! if you re-draw it, i’d love it check it out

something that might help you out is to use tracing paper and draw either the left or right of half of the anchor. then fold the tracing paper and copy the other side. that way you get a nice symmetrical design. after that you can piece in the rose and banner. it might also help making the heart at the top even too.

I gotcha. Time is definitely a factor haha. I do want to point out that most artists prefer having a clean slate as far as apprentices. My mentor puts alot of emphasis on the art of tattoos so he’s been very helpful in teaching me composition that would be appropriate for tattoos. Here’s a few more with different feels to them.

Definitely research the type of things you want to draw. And I cannot stress this enough….. REFERENCES. Google is your best friend. Also research the giants in the industry and feel free to try and copy their designs for practice. Look for how the set up the composition, colors, shading, etc.

Pretty much, you need to practice and study a whole lot.

I’m Jess. I recently joined here too. I’m from the east coast and am trying to reach out to apprentices from all over. I know in your post you said you just bought a kit. Is there a reason you haven’t gone to any shops to try and earn a place there?
