It would be nice a seccion where we (aprentices) can post our profile where tattoo shop owners can take a look and offer an aprenticeship.
I agree with this one! And one for shops looking for apprentices based on artwork shown here.

I try to sketch only in Pens. I prefer BICs. Make layers, diffrent angles, diffrent tones, effecs, and best of all, you cant erase. It helps you with your machine control. Also, i used to put the pen in my machine and sketch like that, help me get into the habit of having a machine in my hand.

Figured id post this here. How possible is this tattoo on someones chest(pec), and how big would it have to be?
Pretty sweet, but I wouldn’t go too small with it. You’d lose detail and a piece like that screams for detail.

Hi guys.
I’ll kick of with this one. Intended as a logo for my gf’s webstore (vintage apperal, accesoiries, curiosities), which is being developed at the moment. Would also make a great backpiece IMO.Love the detail and vintagey look. Just love it! You’re awesome.

Well I say that if you want to learn about technique and hardware knowledge…etc. you’ve come to a good place to start. Now let me suggest that you dont limit yourself to just one book…or one website forum…or just one teacher if you find another.

Wow thanks so much for the compliments! I really work hard. It’s not easy not having a shop or a mentor to help me when I have questions. Alot of what I’ve done is trial and error. I’ve had three terrible shop experiences and can’t find a shop to apprentice or work out of yet, but not giving up. I’m 44 and I still keep dreaming.

There’s a secret to it.
You wipe your ass with it. Seriously, soft toilet paper or tissue. It gives a burnished effect and is better than tortillons or pencil stumps.

I usually don’t use a 14 rs unless I’m going to do a smaller area, but it worked great for putting in alot of the tree detail. You can chew anyone up…[Read more]
