lately I been using Dynamic Black,
I don’t think everything I’ve tried beats it. I tried Intenze, Silverback, Eternal, One, Kurosumi, Bloodline, Alla Prima, Fusion. Just my preference though

murai89 replied to the topic 8 wrap coil machime in the forum My Machine Hates Me! 10 years, 4 months ago
First off its called 8 Layers. 8 layers should be fine depending on the quality and size and length. everything matters but 8 layer coils should be fine. The main thing you need to know besides that is your spring gauge, tuning and stroke length.

murai89 replied to the topic When does an artist say no to a tattoo? in the forum Design Ideas / Technique 11 years, 8 months ago
an artist should say no also if the area they want it in isnt going to benefit their future or can make it harder for them career wise depending. i had kids 18 yrs old trying to get them to tattoo their necks face, hands, when they havent even realized what they wanted to do or become. they jump into getting all these tattoos just because famous…[Read more]

murai89 replied to the topic Machine Bags in the forum Barrier Protection Advancements / Medical Supplies 11 years, 8 months ago
i use every PPE as possible. face mask apron sleeves clip cord machine bags.. its not the fact of being able to see it contaminated. using barriers is to lower the risk of cross contamination making it easier to clean and sanitize. alot of those chemicals for TB u gotta have the surfaced wet with the chemical for 10min.

murai89 replied to the topic tattooing hair in the forum Design Ideas / Technique 11 years, 8 months ago
i would actually line the hair with greywash usually all the strands then use a mag needle depending on tatttoo size to define the hair. more of a traditional way.. usually on portraits i just use a magnum needle on everything.

murai89 replied to the topic 56uf capacitor = ever used? in the forum My Machine Hates Me! 12 years ago

murai89 replied to the topic Needles in the forum My Machine Hates Me! 12 years ago
i recommend getting needles by tatsoul or kingpin
they work great and if you can use a magnify loop 10x and see the actual needle itself
some are cuvred and not a real point which can cause alot of problems to your work and skin.
plus ive seen some china made ones arent even sterile.. some packages are slightly open and what not. -
murai89 replied to the topic Blending colors in the forum My Machine Hates Me! 12 years ago
it really depends what and how you want to do the desire effect.
sometimes needles are too closed together and can cause more trauma to the skin
so it would have to be spaced out a little more.
but mostly mags would work well with good technique and machines..
generally for color work people use short tapered needles
black and grey long tapered…[Read more] -
murai89 replied to the topic O-Ring & Shading in the forum My Machine Hates Me! 12 years ago
u need orings on your machines not only do they help you change the front springs stiffness
it also takes some vibration from the machine.. you have to make sure
you tune the machine with the right rear spring that will be enough to retract the armature bar assembly
and also a front spring that is versatile and have a flex in it but also stiff…[Read more] -
murai89 replied to the topic Machine frame material in the forum My Machine Hates Me! 12 years ago
the whole reason why you need a yoke or not is because you want the cores of the coils to be
running as a pair so they have to be connected with a magnetic metal.
so frames that are ferrous doesnt need a yoke because the frame acts like a yoke
but frames that are non ferrous need a yoke made out of iron or the same type of metal
as the armature…[Read more] -
murai89 replied to the topic Need help picking a machine in the forum My Machine Hates Me! 12 years ago
yeah they are pretty all the same unless you know what to look for in a machine and change
the parts and retune it. if not i recommend them apprenticing at a shop so
better equipment is accessible -
murai89 replied to the topic My machine run like shit in the forum My Machine Hates Me! 12 years ago
make sure your needle is running throught the middle of the tube or a little behind the middle
and make sure its the correct tube and needle..
also when you grip the machine ur hand is also taking alot of the machine vibration so it may sound different but not
really run different. -
murai89 replied to the topic machine is too noisy in the forum My Machine Hates Me! 12 years ago
i usually use non porous medical tape from 3m
put one last on the armature bar just where the front coil hits.
if not yes rotary are most quite -
murai89 replied to the topic what size needles should i use? in the forum Design Ideas / Technique 12 years ago
i would use a 5round tight and possible 5mag and 9mag depending on the actual size
you can also build likes with a 5mag if you use it right.. -
murai89 replied to the topic Needle getting stuck??? in the forum Design Ideas / Technique 12 years ago
i know its been a while idk if u solved it or not but it sounds like a ground problem of some sort
or the coils have too little resistance that when it heats up it acts like its grounded and not enough force to
full pull down the armature bar.. i would need to see that machine itself. - Load More
