Exactly. As a tattoo ages the ermis layer of the skin actually gets thinner. This causes the ink to spread slightly. This is what causes those blurred lines in tattoos that are ten years old. Try to avoid small spaces, especially ink script, as you will lose your open spaces

Your stuff is decent but you still have a lot to practice on. The color looks saturated, but your shading looks scratchy, and ununiform. The best being the one you did on yourself. You say “Customer” does that mean you are charging for tattoos?
Having done three tattoos you should be doing them for free. That’s a best case scenario. I would…[Read more]

one of the things i do with scales is i save them for freehand. if you’re doing a stencil by hand instead of using a copier its much easier to get those scales on with a marker and saves time making the stencil :3
also try not to scan too many WIPs and…[Read more]

Rotaries dont necessarily do more damage tot he skin. it’s all in how you compensate for rotaries with beastly motors. some types of rotaries hit much harder than others, etc. then theres the cheyenne hawk that has an adjustable throw. in the end though ill always stick to coils. i wanted to try rotary at one point but as soon as i bought one the…[Read more]

If its not finished its not a touch up its not a touch upo its a second session. Make sure they know that if they try to stop before its done. You need to really step down and really get stuff straight when they leave. Don’t waste money dude.

as far as the BPP im not sure. ask your local heal department :3
personally i prefer coil. if something breaks you just replace that part. if something breaks on a rotary you pretty much need a new rotary. also as far as adjusting you cant adjust most rotary. with coils you can pretty much fully customize it. i primarily use hildbrant coils so id…[Read more]

I mostly dislike Tribal, and Script
Script because I’m an artist not a calligrapher. Script is also meant to be STRAIGHT, and FLAT. Nothing on the body is straight, and flat. That’s why people add all those swoops and bells and whistles.
Tribal because it is just an old ’90s fad that died in no time. No one knows the true meaning of tribal, and…[Read more]

Try using M1 M2 or RM. With a flat it is too easy to damage the skin unless you know what you’re doing
