You’ll need to be an apprentice first to get the knowledge on HOW to tattoo, also do your research on BBP the history of tattooing, the other styles of tattooing, and such. The best advice anyone can give you is learn as much about the tattoo industry as possible before even starting to think about owning your own studio

it depends on the tattoo. if the tattoo was done properly then there will be VERY minimal markings. however if the tattoo is raised and scarred you will have a scar and marks forever. Normally people use tattoo removal tto remove old tats then they cover the new blank area with a better tattoo haha

as far as BioMech try looking up the works of Guy Aitchison. He specializes in BioMech, and has a two year waiting list.

you could pretty much cover this with anything as long as it is a little bigger than the original tattoo and is pretty busy, IE: as much linework as possible. colour will help a lot as well

Pencil drawings will always be your best bet to get your practice in. That’s one of the reason we have a “How to Practice” section :3
a normal portfolio normally has 15-21 pencil drawings of tattoo designs in various styles and colours.
