I gotta say, bagging or not bagging, it is a good question. Sometimes I do sometimes I don’t. And I am not the only one. If you image search you will see that even the best of the best sometimes do and sometimes don’t, clip cord bag is ALWAYS on but bagged machine is not. IMO the difference being that it just gives you a little extra…

that’s actually very too experience to have :3
saves on a lot of cash
I use the magnetic base that comes with the HP-2, and it is pretty much impossible to knock off
it takes quite a lot of effort for me to take it off when I need to clean my station haha
i could hit it and it wouldnt budge :3 -

I get a lot of sh*t from some people when I tell them I don’t bag my machines, but IMO, bagging the machines just contaminates them more, and I clean them after evey tattoo anyway so what’s the point? 80% of the shops I’ve been in don’t, and most of the tattoo shows don’t either. I do however bag the clip cord…

I have a hurricane, and have been using it for over a year without any faults at all.
I love it, and would never go back. I can have three liner and three shader presets, and it has a stop watch and stuff. I wrote a review for it at http://www.tattooradar.com :3 -

If I have a cut or something I wont tattoo. I don’t wear a mask, and ive never seen anyone wear one. I’m nto saying its right, or wrong to wear one I’ve just never seen anyone do it. As far as my inks I have a toolbox on the left of my chair that opens up like one of those tool things that mechanics use with shelves like ti as well. It’s not like…[Read more]

How does that work?
first you print your design backwards. this is because you will be printing on the back of the stencil sheet not the front like normal
then you take your stencil sheet and cut it to the size of your design

My shader runs at 51% duty, and I used weaved mags :)
Curved mags are arguably better since they are curved and shape to the skin better, and you can use them on angles and such. i am just used to my weaved mags so i stick to what works :) -

Update and hint at what NOT to do. The apprentice I had, stress HAD, decided that he couldn’t handle a full time job, paying bills and learning to ink, he dropped out. After 2 weeks he finally gets around to texting me and not even a phone call to say tat he can’t afford to bring back the things I let him use as an apprentice. I snap…

I usually set up a few cups for my work. I also use Kuro Sumi outlining ink.
Cup 1: 100% ink
Cup 2: 50% ink, 2 drops of witch hazel, distilled water
Cup 3: 25% Ink, 3 drops of witch hazel, distilled water
Cup 4: 4 drops of ink, 4 drops of witch hazel, distilled waterYou could also use your intenze shading solution instead of witch hazel :)

Your eagle and dagger look more new school than traditional. Traditional designs are very specific with how they are drawn. They arent warped, or curved, or exaggerated in any way.
notice the difference between this eagle and yours?

yours looks more cartoony than this one

A nice big piece JJ! :)
Looks pretty good. I think the big issue with the Melon is it doesnt “heal” like normal skin. A lot of the times your lighter shades will actually go in dark, and lighten as the tattoo heals. What are you using for your light shades? How much black? are you using Witch Hazel? Distilled water? :) -

I’d have to say that with the exception of just bad quality crappy ink, the ink you end up picking is as varied in some cases as the parts you use. Just because some people “swear” by one brand or another doesn’t mean much. I hit an economical speedbump and at the same time had an issue with almost all my basic colors. I ended up…
