this topic is for a solution while cleaning the skin not sterilizing instruments
you cant sterilize anything without an autoclave
you can only sanitize
i use 100% cavicide for my sensitization just like my mentor used in his shop :) -

Ramenuzumaki replied to the topic College in the forum How to Get an Apprenticeship in 3 days or your money back! 11 years, 8 months ago
you have a very solid base to build on. VERY solid. Id keep drawing, and start working on your portfolio. go into shops, and talk to people there. artists, and such. get to know them. once you are 18 id say go into the shop you want you work at, and get tattooed by the person you are hoping to apprentice under. getting tattooed is your best way to…[Read more]

Ramenuzumaki replied to the topic MORE WORK WITH ROTARY MACHINE in the forum Post your work here 11 years, 8 months ago
That’s exactly it. My old mentor uses Cheyenne Rotaries because of the needle cartridges they use, and because they are, well, ROTARY! You need to be careful with rotary though. A lot of people say they can do it all, but liners, and shaders have different cam wheels. Also there is no margin for error! You need to tattoo PROPERLY, otherwise all…[Read more]

Ramenuzumaki replied to the topic MORE TATTOOS FROM WHEN I STARTRED DONE WITH COIL MACHINE in the forum Post your work here 11 years, 8 months ago
Outlining ink just has a better undertone than an ink that isnt specifically for outlining. All blacks–except tribal black–have an undertone of blue, or green. As far as the alcohol for putting your stencil on the skin. All the alcohol does is make the skin dry faster, so the stencil dries faster. I personally use a 1 part 70% Isopropyl Alcohol,…[Read more]

i was told by Mario Barth to use 60% black 10% witch hazel 10% rose water 20% distilled water
change obviously depending on the darkness of your grey washas far as ONLY using witch hazel id say no. yes use it as it helps thin out the inks and such but id said using distilled water as your main form of dilution would be your best bet
as far as…[Read more]

Ramenuzumaki replied to the topic getting burned out too soon in the forum Rants and Raves 11 years, 8 months ago
JEster I think what you need to do is just take a little break. take some YOU time. if you dont want to do a tat dont do it. tell them you are busy or something. you shouldnt do tats to shut people up, thats why you’re getting burnt out bro. you’re getting stressed over the tat and not wanting to do it means you cant enjoy it means you wont…[Read more]

Ramenuzumaki replied to the topic Machine Bags in the forum Barrier Protection Advancements / Medical Supplies 11 years, 8 months ago
I cover my clip cord with Eikon clip cord bags, and i use folding sandwich bags for my machine. i avoid ziplocking ones as its too many slits for things to get into. i cut one of the corners off then slip it on. before i started tattooing i saw an artist who is in a shop used this method. its just easier on me at the moment since im not super…[Read more]

Ramenuzumaki replied to the topic When does an artist say no to a tattoo? in the forum Design Ideas / Technique 11 years, 8 months ago
when it comes to hand, and necks, and such i really try to deter them from doing it. the exception would be if they are obviously of age to know what they are doing, if their job will accept it, and if they already have a lot of tattoos, or already have hand and neck tattoos
