I have gone to flat rate prices on larger pieces, $300 per session, sessions start at 3 hours until they yell stop or we are done. Tap-Outs. Customers feel they are getting a great deal, in reality not many people can go past the 4-5 hour mark. And the few that do is worth the lower income in terms of how long it took for the increase in word of…[Read more]

I hunted antique stores for my lamp, finally found the ONE!!! An old hospital flor lamp, all stainless steel. The head has full rotation, with a bent post that can be raised and lowered. Rewired it for a modern plug, put in a daylight bulb for some bright white, and put some polish on the inside of the stainless cup. Those things are like freaking…[Read more]

I think what you did was awesome. If you linked pictures I dont see them in the post.
As far as foreigners being bad at tattooing non-Denmark natives started the whole tattoo scene. The word Tattoo comes from the Samoan word Tatao which means to mark. The tattooer is known as the Tufunga. There also traditional Irezumi style of tattoo which dates…[Read more] -

what I did was I took the total price of the supplies I use. so lets say I pay 20$ for 50 needles. I divided the 20 by 50 to get the price per unit. I then mulitplied the price per unit by 2. I Did this with EVERYTHING. I used 2 because I rarely only use one ink cap, one needle, etc. For inks I budget 2$, for paper towel you budget an entire roll…[Read more]

I just use the regular light on the ceiling of my shop. Some people use the fluorescent lighting. You can also get small lights that attach to your tattoo machine.

Stencil Stuff is rad
try mixing 1 part isopropyl alcohol 99% with 7 parts Dettol
I find it works better as the alcohol makes it dry faster :3Spray some on your glove, then rub it in until its tacky, and away you go!
