studio one has the HP-2, but it is 99$. Personally I paid 150$ for mine at a local tattoo shop. I was seriously ripped off. Hurricane is actually a really good power supply brand. I know of four other artists that use the HP-2. I’m looking to upgrade tot he HP-3 as soon as I can actually get around to ordering one haha

the onyl true way to STERILIZE is with an autoclave. however a cheaper solution would be to SANITIZE them using an ultrasonic cleaner, and a proper solution made with a mixture of cavicide, and distilled water. there are many many different solutions available, and many different things ont he net to make your own ultrasonic solutions. the great…[Read more]

everyone has their own set of style as far as what defines what
old school is defined by a simple design using a very simple colour pallet. the colours you get in your generic 7 piece ink sets are pretty much your basic traditional pallet of an old school piece. a new school design is way more colourful. you could look at a Sailor Jerry piece,…[Read more] -

The only thing I can think of is possibly carbon scoring on your contact screw/springs
check for that. if so you can use an emery board to gently brush it off. make sure it is an emery board. emery boards/paper etc are made of tiny flecks of glass instead of sand. as such they do not heat up with friction.do you have a picture of the…[Read more]

Ramenuzumaki replied to the topic Ink temperature in the forum Pigment vs. Ink 11 years, 3 months ago
if they reach over 40*C they are no good, and if they freeze they are no more good
keep them at room temperature and away from sunlight and youll be fine :D
ive even heard of some artists who will keep them cool in a fridge, but again you need to avoid freezing. -
Ramenuzumaki replied to the topic What are the best color inks? in the forum Pigment vs. Ink 11 years, 3 months ago
as far as inks go there are a few good brands, and brands you should avoid
some brands ive tried and liked are: fusion, starbrite, intenze , eternal, radiant, and alla prima. i have yet to try Kuro Sumi’s colour line but if its as good as their blacks and greys they should be good :D

I just purchase sterile ink bottles. you can get them from eikon or other supply places like http://www.tattoomachienequipment.com
i fill one with distilled water, and one with witch hazel
the “Cups” are simple medium ink cups :3 -

try to practice your line work more before tattooing too many clients. honey dew melons are really nice fruit to use as a practice medium. if your outline isnt solid your tattoo will fall apart. it’s like trying to build a house without a solid foundation. also drawing a lot will really help you out :3

Ramenuzumaki replied to the topic chinese writeing in the forum Post your work here 11 years, 3 months ago
i can see a few holidays in that piece. you’re going to have to give it another go. before i do any type of chinese work i always give the client a nice warning about the fact that it is very difficult to actually know what the characters are saying. I know quite a bit of japanese so i am comfortable with that, but if someone ends up with Kitchen…[Read more]

do you have a before pic of the cover up?
the first pic of the three doesnt work
your main focus for a cover up isnt necessarily to COVER the tattoo it is to masque it, and draw attention AWAY from the original tattoo. use as many of the original lines as possible, and the busier the new tattoo is the better as this will draw the eye away from the…[Read more] -

solid work stan. looks nice and saturated, and the lines are nice and crisp. maybe instead of making a new thread for each tattoo you do you could make one thread and keep posting your tats in that one to reduce the thread threshold and spam :3
