20-30 is way too much
you only need 18-21 items in you portfolio. You also wont be accepted as an apprentice until you’re 18 as the legal age to get a tattoo is 18.Also you want to have a MIX of styles in your portfolio to show you are versatile. If the artist you go to is a traditional artist and you bring him traditional work, and nothing else…[Read more]

ok, so it’s been a minute since I’ve even had time to be on the forum, let alone anything else. While this is coming to the end of off season for us shops, I personally have been very busy with some cool stuff out my way. But regardless, recent events have prompted me to share yet again.
Let me start off by saying to all you who have even thought…[Read more] -

Hey Hannah,
The work is looking solid.
A couple suggestions;
1. try punching your blacks a little bit. It can give you a big more pop in some areas and can extend your value scale which may help with the “flat” look.2. Draw in layers. Tracing paper is your friend. You can have a really messy sketch (work out your anatomy and…

I always give my information for free. I’ve even got a few videos on youtube, and a massive shopping list on another forum. Took me four hours to type that shopping list out! lmao
I actually totally forgot about this post.
I’ll probs post my shopping list on this forum later.

OK so you made your own stuff, and use this barrier stuff. Which do you want tested? The stuff you made from scratch using proper ingredients, and not deodorant?

Ramenuzumaki replied to the topic Stencil stuff for fake skin in the forum Apprentice Folly 10 years, 11 months ago
I wouldn’t say this is “Stencil Stuff” more like “Stencil Remover” by the way you are describing it in your last post. Stencil Stuff is normally referred to things used to apply a stencil like the popular stencil applicator: Stencil Stuff by Tattoo Stuff.

Ramenuzumaki replied to the topic finger tattoos! in the forum Apprentice Folly 10 years, 11 months ago
I’ve never noticed hand, or knuckle tattoos healing any faster than any other tattoo, and I have my knuckles, and my right hand tattooed. However, the inside of the finger is a very bad place to get a tattoo. It is a different skin type than that on top of the knuckles. Also it is very high traffic area(it gets rubbed, and touched A LOT). This…[Read more]

Ramenuzumaki replied to the topic what is the big difference in coils??? in the forum My Machine Hates Me! 10 years, 11 months ago
It’s because I said so.
Just kidding.
The coil wraps make like a horse shoe magnet effect. The electrons run around the iron core of the coils through the copper wire in a horse shoe shape, and go into the capacitor. Once the capacitor reaches a full charge it releases it’s energy that it has stored in it and it powers the machine. This happens…[Read more]

Ramenuzumaki replied to the topic I can't get good color or black saturation!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP in the forum My Machine Hates Me! 10 years, 11 months ago
Which power supply do you have? Is it fully digital? What Volts are you running it at? What Hz is it running at? Duty %? Have you tuned it properly? Are you using proper technique? Does your machine have the proper parts on it? Does it pack enough of a punch? Do you have pictures of the colour work you’ve done, and the machine, and power supply?
