I’ve had that happen to me once when I first set my machine up. It ended up that I just had my give too far down so that the vise only grabbed the get end of it.. took it up flush with the hole, and brought my tip down a little to compensate for needle depth. My tubes and tips are in separate pieces, if yours is one solid piece, pick up the…[Read more]

tat2theEarth replied to the topic Needle disposal in the forum General Questions About Tattooing Safe 12 years, 8 months ago
I have called 3 hospitals in my area in elk county, pa and they all said they would not accept a sharps container from home, and would not answer any questions regarding safe disposal. They do dell kits on superiortattoo.com that solidifies sharps for safe disposal in any household garbage. I would check into that.

Wow, balloons.. makes sense. Gives practice drawing on a curved surface. I’ve seen a lot of really good practice tattoo on oranges, grapefruit, bananas too. Any ideas for my portfolio itself, like good ways to present my art? I know not to include pics of tattoos I’ve done before, and that its just as much presentation as the skill itself. I’m…[Read more]

Seems to me like the artist did not penetrate enough skin. I’m no expert by any means, just the first thing that came to mind. I know fingers and hand tattoos are said to be tricky .
