For black ink im pretty fixed on kuro sumi.. i went and got my collarbones tattooed and he used kuro sumi black outlining ink and its been a few months its still as black as the day i got it. They have a 3 pack of 6 oz bottles with black, greywash, and soft grey inks too that cost about 45 for the set, so u dont have to make your own wash. I use starbrite inks and i have the tribal black and outlining ink from starbrite and they work great too, ive done a few on myself and others with no complaints at all, so im gonna use the rest of it up before investing in the kurosumi bottles.

It definitely does hurt like hell going through scar tissue.. i pierced my own nipple in high school (not smart, but whats done is done) and it migrated a little twards the front. I went to a proffessional and treated myself to an 18th birthday piercing session 3 years later and got them both pierced vertically. The one i did myself i still wore, and all the scar tissue that built up under it and behind the hole, im super happy i never have to do it again it hurt like an s.o.b. and i could hear the needle rip thru the skin. The guy piercing it kinda made a face and a faint grunt cause he had to push the needle so hard. And the few weeks afterwards were hell too. Anyways sorry about me ranting and raving reliving an experience but, good luck man it might not be too bad since you took the needle out right after… just make sure you take a stress ball or something to bite on when you go get it pierced.

The lettering on the memorial was done in his handwriting i told him to let me fancy it up n make it a lil neater but he wanted it to stay the same.. i respected his choice but i agree with you it could have been better

Are you putting a slight bend in your needle bar? Only time i ever had this problem is when i didnt bend my needle bar and the tension from my rubber bands held the bar against the tube, making it bog down… u need a slight bed in the bar to compensate for rubber band tension.

Nice and simple but not too simple. Solid color and smooth.. nice work.. mo critique other than maybe a shadow behind it to make it pop off the skin? Good work

Yeah thats one little trick to keep customers happy and returning when i do a tattoo and its right near an old one or involved with it i do a simple touch up for free.. another thing about doing that is it makes your work more attractive if older ones integrated with it look good too

This is a nice clean piece.. i see nothing you did wrong, but the only thing i see that could make it better is highlights and color, and touchup on the name to darken it and bring it back to life. Maybe a shadow behind the letters. Nice tat tho.

This one was trick.. she is a larger woman and the skin was very soft. There was a black outline with black daisy looking flowers.. went for a “”painted on” look hence the faded look and faint linework on the flowers.. constantly stretching the skin where it folded together was a pain..
