yes if you tighten the contact it will run faster because you are reducing the gap, therefor causeing it to cycle more frequently. (i dont know the numbers, so just throwing these out)….lets say you have a 2mm gap, and your machine is running at 122 htz. now if you reduce that gap to 1mm, your machine is now running allot faster around 230-240…[Read more]

also remember that in tattooing and tattoo flash, that not everything in a piece has to be outlined. alot of it is created through shading/color work.

yeah i get the red x too….not sure why, but i did go back into the old post to look at the picks (i must say, although a very simple piece, much better than the others and still needs improvement)

hope it’s going to turn out better on the next session. i only see 2 tones in the piece, black, and med-light grey. there is no dimension to it at all. you can’t expect anyone to take it easy, when you dont listen to advise…

well they are mass produced, and you know the ol’ saying….”you get what you pay for”. i cant express this enough, your tools do the work, your just there to guide them in the direction they need to go. mess around with it, and see if you can get it fine tuned.

you say lower, are you useing straight tubes w/no grip?

thats allot of your problem right there, the flats! stay away from them, there junk imo. i use mostly 5m & 7m. the “shakes”, thats going to happen until your use to the machine weight. try drawing with a pencil in your machine, or tape a pencil to 2 c batteries and practice outlining on paper. believe me this helps. the shakes will calm down after…[Read more]

if you tune them up right, they can be pretty good…

what type of ink are you using? the pepper effect is due to your machine speed is running slower then your hand speed. slow your hand speed down, and take more time. this also happens alot when “whip” shading. try doing small tight circles, and increasing the hand speed and doing bigger circles as you pull away from your dark area. black and grey…[Read more]

looks pretty good. i too would like to see it healed.

it’s not bad at all, however it seems to be all 1 tone, with slight variation. try going in a darken the dark areas, and bring a smooth transition from your darks to lights. (not sure if this is due to scanning, or phone pic issues)
