The machine could run at 100volts as long as it sounds good you should be fine. Every machine is different there is no “Set” voltage to run one at but 8 doesnt sound too bad to start out. Instead of tracing paper, try just using plain old typing paper, or what ever your design is on and lay it directly onto the purple tracing paper then trace it. You “should” get some dark ass lines, and they “should” stencil very well……….hope that helps. 8-)
