Purpose of this Project / Who is this thing for?

The purpose of this text is to familiarize you with the basic concepts
that are a required foundation to begin a tattoo apprenticeship.
Who is this book for? This book is for those who have artistic
ability. You can learn the fundamentals of art in a school of
design, but even a university will only take you so far. You have
to have some type of god given talent that you can build a base
upon. You cannot become a tattoo artist if you are not already
an artist. The alternative is you will just be another tattooist. It
is one thing to have the technical ability to lay ink into skin, and
have it stay there. It is another to create works of art that people
are willing to pay you for. That is the difference between a tattooist
and a tattoo artist.
